I'm trying to create a Microsoft Purview account with Data Policy Enforcement enabled in the East US region, but I’m blocked by the following error:

Validation failed for scigpurview. An Enterprise Tenant-level Purview Account already exists for tenant with ID: 1c2fdf90-5f61-4001-b9c9-6ec5b5829e81.

However:

  • I only have one visible Purview account (scigpurview) and it does not have dataPolicyEnabled = true.
  • Azure Resource Graph and CLI confirm no other accounts with Data Policy Enforcement exist.
  • I do not have a paid support plan to open a standard support request.

Could someone from the product team help verify the tenant lock and assist with either removing the stale state or revealing the actual locked account?

Thanks in advance!
