The subscription page lists "sensitive breach data" as a feature, but the pricing page doesn't mention it. Is it available in all subscriptions? You might want to add a note about that on the pricing page. |
Where are you seeing that @JimTheFrog? The public email address search API won't return that, or are you referring to when you login and see the results for a verified email address? |
I'm referring to the list of available/unavailable features on https://preview.haveibeenpwned.com/pages/dashboard_internal#subscription: This gives the impression that upgrading an account will provide access to "sensitive breach data" but it's not mentioned on the pricing page that is displayed after clicking ""Upgrade your Account." |
Ah, yes, I see now, thanks. @indyber, I think that given this is under the "Business" heading, it would make more sense to simply say "No active subscription", or something to that effect. This is slightly tangential to the topic of the issue (that's about the public pricing page), but we also need to surface that pricing information on the screen @JimTheFrog has referred to. We need it when there's no subscription, but we also need to enable people to be able to change their subscription as they may want to go up or down in scale. Have a think about how this should look. |
Looking at the pricing page again, there's a few things we need to tweak:
Firstly, I'd like to lead with a very short text introduction to this effect:
I then feel that the domain search and API panels need to be above the pricing; let's explain what they're getting before telling them what it costs! I'll probably then reduce the amount of content in those two panels as well, but let's position them first.
Next, we also have a series of higher-level plans that simply haven't been listed on the site before, including:
These all allow unlimited sized domains and access to stealer logs and differ only by the rate limit of the API. We may also add more in future based on requests, so think about how to add these as "minor" product listings underneath everything else.
We also need to surface this information in a couple of places on the dashboard. For example, on the subscription link when someone doesn't have one already, and right after someone searches a domain they don't have a sufficiently sized subscription for. Here's how that looks at present:
I think we'll need more input from @indyber as we build out the functionality on those pages, for example, we previously haven't been clear enough about what size subscription someone needs based on the size of their domain. We really need a pretty obvious prompt about "you're choosing a plan that isn't large enough to monitor a domain you have verified", and probably something else to the effect of "you haven't added any domains yet, make sure you know what size plan you need beforehand". I'm adding this here based on tickets we've had in the past where people haven't understood these fundamentals.
We can scrap the "most popular" tag, subscription size is primarily determined by the size of someone's domain. What we really need is something to the effect of "recommended" when a domain has been added and we know what plan size they need. That should be clear in explaining why it's recommended, for example a tool tip or similar that explains "Recommended based on the size of the domains you've already verified".
