Feature Request : Extensible MVC helpers/functions from the Admin/Dev area

I would like to define MVC helpers and functions that I can use throughout my views, without needing to build and deploy an assembly/module.

Granted, they are currently working around other limitations (of which I have/will submit feature requests), but there will always be a need to extend the platform, and this would provide a friendly half-step for cases that do not require the full effort of a module.
