Adding library .dlls to path

I installed ffmpeg-shared expecting to be able to have the libraries available to all applications without extra configuration, but I found that i needed to either move/copy the ffmpeg .dlls next to my .exe or add the location to the .dll files to PATH manually.

Is there a way to automatically do this?
