Happens to me aswell, i just restart the game, but its really annoying. Sometimes i can fiddle with the audio device settings and it might start again. Mine happens on Pop OS though. |
This seems to have fixed it for me #3805 (comment) |
Tried it and it doesn't work, audio still keeps cutting off randomly |
Not only on Arch Linux but on Pop!_OS too. |
I have had the same issue with cs2, and my wife also has the same issue with dota2. Both using Arch and pipewire. |
I've been having the same problem, happens multiple times a game. |
Also happens to me after a few rounds, Nobara 40 |
Same thing, also for dota2. almost unplayable |
That bug hit me one week ago the first time and I see this problem about 4-6 times (!) per match and I have to restart my game OpenSuse Tumbleweed with Pipewire, but Pipewire has been used by the system at least since one year, so I don't know why it now suddenly happened System: Opensuse Tumbleweed with Pipewire |
Issue resolved from my end for the last few months. I didn't change anything on my system, except normal package updates. |
The audio issue happens less compared to before, but it still does happen. There are also instances of sped up audio and crackling sound until the game is restarted. |
Honestly i am so fed up with Valve Treating the Linux Port of CS2 like cr4p that I might just start a Petition to force Valve to start pushing updates for Linux's CS2 port, CS2 has been walking(not running but walking) like dog sh!t lately. |
Uh oh!

) in a gist:Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
in CS2 the Audio keeps randomly crashing/stopping mid game/match and sometimes not even mid game/match, whenever i connect the game to my Headphones it keeps randomly stopping and all i hear is dead silence from the game(Untill i restart the game) but when i route the game to use my monitor(Through HDMI) and then i mod the loop to go through my headphones it somehow works fine(untill i reboot the game because then it'll connect again to my monitor). Valve Please Fix
