Test suite fails on s390x: "No valid recycle bin record found"

Hi,

While building version 0.8.1 on the s390x architecture (Debian), the test suite fails with the following repeated error:

114: Fatal error: No valid recycle bin record found
114: Error occurred in following record:
114: INFO2-sample2: Illegal INFO2 of record size 0

No problem, I'll try setting up a s390x qemu vm in coming week and see if problem can be reproduced locally.

I was able to reproduce the issue using sbuild for the s390x architecture, and this is also blocking the migration of version 0.8.1 to Testing. Debian is getting very close to the freeze, which will happen on April 15th.
If you'd like version 0.8.1 to be included in Debian 13 (Trixie), it's necessary to get this fixed soon. I'm happy to help with anything you need — just let me know!

Got that. I'll have access to computer again tomorrow, so quite positive it can be fixed in time. By inspecting a few of the buildd logs, it looks like generic problem with big endian architectures, not specific to s390x.

@polkornyipt Just released new version, I believe it can address all build or runtime failures in 0.8.1 buildd log. Please tell me anytime if something still goes wrong. Thanks for the hard work!

Hi, sorry for the delay. I’ve imported the new version and everything seems ok. I tried a cross-build for s390x and it passed.

The package has just been uploaded, and builds on the architectures have already started, I believe everything should be fine.

Edit: The build has now passed on all Debian officially supported architectures. The package should migrate to testing in a few days, and will then be available in Debian 13 Trixie.
