When I try to issue a new certificate (or renew one) I always get the msg "Cannot find DNS API hook for: dns_sdns" or "'dns_sdns' does not contain 'dns'", using s-dns.de api. What's wrong?

The sdns API has not been merged into the official repository, so it will be not present here.

Ok, but how to solve this? Docs say to report a bug here...
