We could easily ditch Glide and switch to go modules, according to this article.
I experimentally tried running go mod init and it picked up versions from Glide, as described here. Building the project then succeeded.
go mod init
This would free contributors from the need to install and learn to use Glide, which I believe is a good thing™.
