Return tool use

Is it possible to return tool use directly to the user?
For example I want to have a generate chart tool that returns JSON tool use block back to the user to then be rendered in the UI.

I could be missing something but couldnt get this working.

Would you stop the flow on tools response? or is it just for UI information?
