Comment:

I noticed that installing miniforge changes my ~./bashrc file. I want an encapsulated installation that does not interfere with any other command unless the environment is activated.

How can I run the installer such that I am guaranteed no such modifications are applied? Looking at the help page of the installer, this does not seem to be an option:

$ ./Miniforge3.sh -h
usage: ./Miniforge3.sh [options]
Installs Miniforge3 24.11.3-0
-b run install in batch mode (without manual intervention),
             it is expected the license terms (if any) are agreed upon
-f no error if install prefix already exists
-h print this help message and exit
-p PREFIX install prefix, defaults to /home/[...]/miniforge3, must not contain spaces.
-s           skip running pre/post-link/install scripts
-u           update an existing installation
-t run package tests after installation (may install conda-build)

it should be asking you at the end right? to modify your bashrc file, say no?

The -b option by default will say not, but it implicitly accepts the the license.
