This issue is a follow-up to #20097 and I think we can crowd-source this a bit for new contributors.

No example data

  • Cytoscape no example data
  • FITS Graph Displays FITS Tables
  • H5web
  • Image Annotate Display and Annotate Images
  • OpenLayers (similar data like Kepler?)
  • Tiff Viewer
  • Venn Diagram
  • Vitessce
  • Vizarr Viewer
  • RNA Structure Viewer

Missing help

  • aequatus
  • ChiRAViz
  • CSG Viewer <-- hide/remove, this is replaced by VTK
  • Graph Visualization <--- hide/removed? We have Cyctoscape now and that one was based on Cytoscape?
  • PCA 3D plot
  • RNA Structure Viewer

Some general issues

  • export button inside the text-editor should block if one export is running, otherwise multiple exports can be triggered simulanously
  • image annotate needs an export button
  • Kepler is displaying CSVs which is most of the times wrong
  • The dataset selector is not displaying the HDA ID?
  • for Vizarr / Vitessce it would be nice to test external data - they can in theory work with URLs and deferred data
  • Trackster should be hidden?
  • MSA is showing way too many different datatypes in the data select

General feature requests

  • copy link feature like in tools to point someone to a Vis
  • It would be nice if we can add custom "maps" to either Openlayers or Kepler. With custom maps we could display geojson of annotations, e.g. Tumors on a kidney or liver. We have tools that create such geojsons.

This great. Thank you. We should also add specific datatypes:

  • cytoscapejson for cytoscape
  • geocsv for kepler

Suggestion from #20202.

  • Add a browser check and display an alert if the user is not using a recommended browser. Also include a version check to ensure the browser meets the required minimum version.
