What should happen

When selecting "Gesture Mapping" in the touch control settings, there are two sets of analog direction inputs (i.e. "Analog Up") which leads me to believe it may have been originally intended to map right analog commands to gesture mapping.

There are a few games that have cheat codes that allow a greater motion of camera input, emulating analog camera/aiming movement. MGS: Peace Walker has an excellent cheat code that makes the game more immersive. I can apply these cheat codes to the emulated right analog stick, but I can't do this was gesture mapping.

A good example of binding right analog stick/camera movement to Gesture mapping would be emulators suck as Aethersx2 and Duck Station, it recreates the motion of camera movement you would find natively in modern Android shooters i.e. Call of Duty.

Who would this benefit

This would benefit a lot of people who wish to adapt classic games to be played with a modern control scheme, enabling classic PSP titles that made the best of the limited inputs at the time to be enhanced. This also gives the opportunity to highlight effective PPSSPP cheat codes of the past, and potentially encourage players to modify titles even more.

Platform (if relevant)

Android

Games this would be useful in

ULUS10509 - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

Other emulators or software with a similar feature

Duckstation and NetherSX2 (formerly AetherSX2)

I both emulators, you go to “Port 1" to bind inputs to the desired analog axis, there is an option called "other", selecting this allows options like "Touchscreen Swipe Up" to serve as right analog inputs
