They are removed. Some apps handle it a bit differently, so they add a “reflection” line at the top itself. So there is no way other than to correct it in the application.

I am aware of the top edge white border that is developer controlled, but for the other borders, how? All I see is the option to disable shadows. The window_border functionality simply adds an overlay border it does not modify the existing MacOS border

I don't really know what to say other than you have something misunderstood somewhere. And I don't feel obligated to press on you, either. Show it on a screenshot.
