Guidance Needed for Setting Up OHDSI in Azure TRE

Hello community,

I'm currently working on setting up OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) within an Azure Trusted Research Environment (Azure TRE) but have been facing difficulties with the deployment process.

I wanted to check if anyone in the community has successfully set up the OHDSI service and could provide guidance on provisioning it or share any helpful resources. I have reviewed the documentation here, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get it working.

Has anyone successfully deployed and used this service? Any insights, or additional documentation would be greatly appreciated!

Might be worth a look at https://github.com/microsoft/OHDSIonAzure/tree/main

It is used by some people, but not sure when it was last fully tested.

What issue are you hitting?

@marrobi Thanks very much. I came across this shared project when clicking around the internet. This might work but it will require a lot of engineering surgeries. I can see on the issues of this project that a few people are experiencing some difficulties getting this project to work.

Back to the Azure TRE, I think some engineering works have been done in the AzureTRE project for the OHDSI deployment and I am wondering if anyone has successfully deployed that service.

I believe people are using it. However I have just tried a deploy and see that it fails, so might need be some things need fixing up first due to changes with dependant Azure services,

I am open to comments from any community member(s) who successfully deployed the OHDSI service in the TRE.

@BIOKU-BH Do you have a CDM deployed on Synapse and configured as stated in the docs?
If yes, what errors did you get when deploying the workspace service?
