Description of issue

After running brew upgrade i cannot connect to mysql anymore, no matter what I tried, this has happened on several Macs

% mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

% mysql --version
mysql  Ver 9.3.0 for macos15.2 on arm64 (Homebrew)

when i checked the logs, i see these:

i have timemachine backups, anyway to restore the previous version, as an alternative solution?

Did you read the instructions after the upgrade? You might have missed them, brew info mysql will show them again.
