Description of issue

Check that I am using homebrew git-cola:

bradbell>which git-cola
/opt/homebrew/bin/git-cola
bradbell>

Run git-cola:

git-cola &

If in the git-cola window I open a repository and the select Branch | Visualize Current Branch, I get

Cannot execute "gitk main --"

brew install git-gui

Here I opened a PR to add git-gui as a dependency.

This is just some back round information that may be helpful in deciding exactly how to fix this.

I think it is possible to change which program corresponds to visualizing the current branch and gitk is the default.
Try executing git-cola config and the select Settings and then look at the History Browser entry.
