It is such a nice feature to have, please add it if possible.

I don't know what feature you mean. "ctrl-p and ctrl-p"?

Sorry I mistyped, I mean using Ctrl-n and Ctrl-p to forward and backward in a list / menu. Like how it is in commandline and many other places.

Also adding a vim key for navigating into parent/child folder in addition to {left} and {right} would be nice. You can use / for jumping/searching for names and use h,j,k,l for navigation. It is what a lot of file-managers like "LF" use and very convenient.

The vim thing isn't going to happen, since unmodified keys are search currently.

Regarding ctrl-n/ctrl-p, would those be cmd-n/p on Mac? Meta-n/p on Linux? The conventions are somewhat unclear here.

It is just a suggestion, it is your project and your decision.

It is Ctrl-p and Ctrl-n on Windows and Linux. On Mac I think it is Command instead of Ctrl, but don't know much about Mac since I don't own one.

Hi @pjeby! Just started using Obsidian, and found a bunch of your plugins! I think @Archie-2021 is referring to these terminal shortcuts, which use Ctrl- on Mac as well.

Hey Arthur. Fancy seeing you here. You using any of the music-related plugins, or just using Obsidian for notes?

I'm in the middle of setting up a new computer for development so it'll probably be a bit before I get this in, but thanks for adding some clarity on the convention. It's been ages since I used a Mac. 😁

Hadn't even thought to look for any! I'll have to check them out…

The author's function has been written. I only need to make small changes to achieve my target shortcut key configuration. It only took me ten minutes to modify the key configuration of j, k, l, s.
