Repository/registry of community plugins?

I recently needed to apply some custom rules on one of my projects, and since the "official" plugins didn't do what I wanted, I created my own. However, I wouldn't be surprised if someone had already created a similar one. The problem is there's no easy way to find plugins created by the community (or maybe I'm not looking in the right place).

So, is there a registry of community plugins?

If not, what would be a good way to start this? I'm thinking maybe to start it could be a github repo where the README just has links to plugin repos.

No registry, we're not keen on maintaining one, both the content and the infra.

We do have this:

Fair enough, thanks. Good to know about the topic. Might be a good idea to include a suggestion to add the topic to the repo in the plugin development documentation.
