As @chlohr pointed out, in case users do not specify a custom /etc/hosts file, we need to set the FQDN to the 127.0.1.1 address. This aligns with standard Linux configuration guidelines, as outlined in the [Debian Reference Manual](https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-reference/ch05.en.html#_the_hostname_resolution).
