Hello, My wife doesn't like Stephen King (however she manages to dislike him...) Therefore, it would be nice, since we share a library, if she could hide specific authors. |

You can set specific tags to be excluded for certain users. This prevents those users from playing any items with that tag and also hides those items from them. You cannot restrict access directly based on the author, so you need to do this manually. However, this is fairly easy: you can filter by author and apply a specific tag to all their items at once. You can then set this tag to be excluded for certain users to hide those items. You can manage which tags are excluded for a user in their settings. |

To hide Stephen King from your shared library: Calibre: Create a Virtual Library with author:!~"Stephen King" to exclude him. Kindle: Use Collections or Amazon Family Library to share only selected books. Google/Apple Books: Use bookshelves (Google) or hide from library (Apple) manually. Best Option: Use separate profiles if possible. |
