Prerequisites

  • This issue has an informative and human-readable title.

💡 Summary

Scubagear's current implementation for Teams policy 5.x checks 'App Permission Policy' settings for compliance. This has to be updated to reflect the new settings introduced by app-centric application access management. This issue will complement the baseline update issue #1663.

Motivation and context

Based on recent Microsoft's change on how Teams app access management is controlled, the baseline implementation steps are proposed to be updated through #1663. This issue is to update the scubagear code accordingly. Specifically, the code need to consider the use cases where tenants are continue to use app permission policies and also where they have migrated to new app-centric mgmt.

Implementation notes

Implement and test with tenants that are enforcing the app access management through previous access permission policies and through app-centric access mgmt.

Acceptance criteria

  • Scubagear produces correct results for tenants that have been auto-migrated to app centric access mgmt
  • Scubagear produces correct results for tenants that have been self-migrated to app centric access mgmt
  • Scubagear produces correct results for tenants that continue to use permission policies
