Instance details

Creating an ACL against a network bridge prevent booting servers from getting proper dns configuration.

Said another way: applying an ACL that rejects all RFC1918 subnets but otherwise allows all traffic, that you’re unable to resolve DNS

Here are the example ACL rules:

I had to give the network nameservers to work:

  1. create a new incus network bridge
  2. create a new ACL per the above details
  3. create a new profile
  4. create a new instance with the new profile
  5. ping google.com from the instance
