Finally I have made the app fill the entire bounds of the app window. It's not perfect in mobile mode, but I think it's still an improvement that it's worth integrating. I only say that, because I don't anticipate the view being used over normal view often enough to warrant holding off this PR to be reviewed and potentially integrated.
